So after fixing my game for both users on my computer, I realized my mom has noticed that everytime a notice for the overwatch cleanup says over 20 cars have been removed. I went to see when she called me over and it said 45 cars were removed the following day in game! I already set the traffic delta to -500 like recommended. For context, she's playing in Isla Paradiso and I have most of the major Nraas mods. She never touches them since she immediately forget how to access them, so it can't be that she's accidentally changing the settings.

Any ideas? TIA.

We're talking about the correct mod here, but not the right options. The Traffic Delta setting dictates how many and often fake taxi cabs are generated to roam the streets with no drivers nor passengers inside to make things look like a large city (e.g., Bridgeport). Typically in a world, especially one with no or very few highrise structures, a setting of -500 would shut the entire fake taxi generation thing down. But that has nothing to do with "real" vehicles or anything requiring Overwatch cleanup, the fake taxis when they are generated are just for the visual effect and one that usually only makes sense in urban settings.

By default, the game gives away free cheap cars, real ones, to inactive sims (the residents who are not player controlled) who need to get around but do not own vehicles of their own or find that they are not easily accessible when they want to go somewhere and these cars are often abandoned by the sims once they get to their destination. The setting to stop that from happening is NRaas > Traffic > Routing > Always Use Taxis for Inactives Lacking Vehicles > True (it's True by default though). That will force these sims to use real taxis or taxi boats, since we're talking about an island based world, and not be issued the free cheap and to be discarded vehicles in the first place. Might this one setting have been changed?

Another common source of vehicles that require cleanup is a game bug that causes the over-spawning of Showtime performance career limos. Traffic has a setting to shut down the spawning of these limos entirely, this one is not set by default as not everyone has worlds that include high level Showtime performers, but for those who do experience the bug they may find as many as 50,000 unnecessary vehicles are getting cleaned up by Overwatch routinely. NRaas > Traffic > Routing > Allow Performance Career Limos > False.

These are the two most common sources of vehicles needing cleanup, but since again we are talking about an island world there could instead or in addition be something odd happening with boats being issued and abandoned. I wouldn't worry about it too much even if we can't nail down the cause, 45 vehicles per day really isn't that many for OW to deal with compared to what we have seen can happen in other settings.

Not to mention there's that bug with the Tour Bus in the Music Career that will continuously generate the Tour Bus if an active sim is in the Music Career. (Can't seem to find the thread I had on that)

I've noticed some Sims in town will drive (not be driven) a limo around despite not being in a career position that would allow that to happen. They aren't even celebrities. It makes sense for the semi-famous Mayor of Bridgeport to be in a limo, but not some Decoy level criminal Sims with no celebrity status whatsoever. I suppose the mod doesn't discriminate what cars the inactive drive, just as long as the Sim gets to the destination without problems. It doesn't annoy me, it's just odd.

The Traffic mod doesn't give inactive sims cars to drive if they don't own a car it will have them take a taxi. So either those sims own those limos or you got some other mod giving those limos to them.

Possibly they got to own those limos as career perks and then changed careers? Or someone else in the household did so?

Ah. I have Overwatch but I don't have the Traffic mod. That's probably why.:oops:

Didn't see the notification. 😅 I'll check those settings when she plays. So far she hasn't complained of lag, so I guess it isn't too much of a problem. Thanks again.
