I have sims attending university and some of the sims from my hometown are visiting as tourists. My university sims cannot perform romantic interactions with the tourist sims even though they already have best friend and even boyfriend relationships. "Romantic" is not even a choice when clicking on the tourist sims. Is there a way to make the romantic interactions available?

Tourists from other worlds who appear in the currently being played one are not their full selves, they are scaled down copies of the full sims often referred to as MiniSims. They are called for and can be controlled if desired by Register, not Traveler, if they appeared there on their own and were not sent for by phone or MasterController.

There are limited things we can do with MiniSims, for example it is impossible to bring them into CAS or adjust their wardrobes and they won't necessarily be carrying their full sim history around with them. One thing that I know is missing is Gender Prefs, but those can be set properly with MasterController (MC Cheats) while they are present in that state. Possibly the missing or reset Gender Prefs are causing the Romantic menu to not appear as expected?

If that's not it, I would ask if you have Woohooer in play and if StoryProgression's form of progression is running for you in Uni World (not everyone does/wants this) as there are a couple of other things we can look at. But it's often safer or more importantly easier to not fully engage with these sims when they are in that scaled down state and not have Register allow tourists in Uni World in particular.

Okay, so I do have Woohooer and Story Progression and after playing around with the settings, I found that all tourist have Romance: Allow set to False as default. Once I changed it to true for a tourist, the Romantic interactions came up. Thanks for your help. You mentioning story progression made me dig a little deeper into the options.
