Register and the Uni mascot and kit

Role Sims, homeless, service Sims, oh my. Something tells me we're not in Sunset Valley anymore.

Register and the Uni mascot and kit

Post by deedee_828 » August 2nd, 2019, 10:28 am

Just a quick question for a friend. She's used Register to stop the mascot from showing up in her game but the welcome kit still shows up in her sims inventory. Is there a way to stop the welcome kit as well?

Alternatively, the following Retuner settings will have the same effect. :-)

From City Hall or any computer:-

NRaas > Retuner > Settings > General >
By Tunable XML > Sims3.Gameplay.Situations > MascotIntroSituation >
  • kCameraCenterOnLotTime = 0
  • kDoCameraZoom = False
  • kGlobalMascotTimeout = 1000000
  • kHoursToIdle = 0.01
  • kHoursToWaitForGreet = 0.01
  • kInitialWaitTime = 1000000

Maybe this mod will help you. But this site requires registration to display the page.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately, the other mod site is one that they've tried to register for but never allows them to do so.

Sarah do you know if that setting stops the welcome kit from going into the Sims' personal inventory each time the save is loaded?

I think they do because those are the settings I use and I don't remember ever seeing a welcome kit in any sims' inventory but I wasn't especially looking for them. Try it out and let me know. Keep a record of the current values for those settings before you change them, so you can put them back if they don't do what you want. :-)

She tried it and it worked! But she was mistaken about where the welcome kit was showing up. It was actually in the household inventory not the personal one, but with the mod it's gone! Sending along her thanks.
