Question about Dresser

Post by Sara_Darkees » July 23rd, 2019, 2:47 am

I'm trying to be friends with Dresser, but I think I'm missing something important. I want to make strictly defined settings for outfits, hair, makeup and accessories, but I don't want to change the existing characters according to my wishes for future characters. I would be very grateful if someone would point me to a specific string that needs or doesn't need to be changed. And I'd also like to know if there's a way to get this mod to refer exclusively to custom or store content.

You need to setup a valid parts for this if you want specific parts of a category. The jury is still out if this process works correctly or is suffering from user error.

Assuming you've changed no other settings from their defaults, just set Check Outfits \ Perform on Age-Up to false and it won't touch any Sims. Then you can click on the ones you want changed and do a Dresser \ Check Outfits.

Each category (hair, accessories, etc), including general, has a valid product version setting. You can use this to specify store content only. Unfortunately it doesn't work for CC.

Ok, thank you, I'll try to be more careful. I don't remember exactly what strings I changed that time. However, after my long attempts to adjust everything as I'd like, the mod informed me that it successfully changed the outfit of some character. Perhaps the problem was the limitations of the accessories and the amount of makeup. If these details are selected and adjusted by user, it looks good, but in the case of random sims always look too overdressed.
