These topics comes around like once every couple years in all the sims forums and every thread ends with confusion. Not sure if this is the right place to ask but no where else is active.

It shows how to replace sims 3 audio files to have any of the music be custom. However it's long winded, though easy to follow. The Op didn't answer any questions or concerns either so there's no way to know if other people have had success. The tv channel one ends the same way.

What I wanna do: Replace all the radio station music with custom music sorted by genre. Replace either the tv audio sounds or all the tv channels themselves with custom clips that have audio in them.

Question: Is any of that even possible at this point? Has anyone had any luck?

Wotjek's tutorial is about in-game audio files like the music that plays within CAS and Build/Buy, I don't think that's relevant for custom radio music and TV clips. Perhaps you might want to have a discussion with a mod developer who just recently created a custom radio station that many of us love to get a better sense of what is involved with that one.

The only custom TV station I know of that has held up through the game's patch cycle is Arsil's, but I'm afraid he isn't currently active with TS3 these days.

I've never played with either so I'm afraid I'm no help. There are additional threads linked throughout Odistant's that may be of some help but I'm not sure. Finding things on MTS can definitely be frustrating so I sympathize. Definitely tear down the existing ones and see if you can find clues to help.
