Just wondering. Any progress on updates of the mods?

Hi, I'm going to step in here before our developer responds officially if he cares to. Mod development is currently on hold due to constraints on our developer's time and his having to fulfill the role of webmaster. That is not to say that there will not be any future mod development, quite the contrary, but the work he does to continue making this site more stable and usable is very valuable to us as a community. We should be immensely grateful to Chain, and to those who came before him most notably Twallan of course and others who have contributed along the way, for providing us with a working, stable set of mods for us to enjoy as we continue our journeys through this now ten year old game.

The mods that had new versions in beta testing some time ago still do, and these seem pretty stable to me and others who use them. They are still there for those who wish to try them out. See the first link for downloads and the second to the Wayback Machine for descriptions on what is being added there.

None of this has anything to do with old mod versions intended to run on prior patch levels and that isn't really a question currently open for consideration. The older versions were always provided with a "capacity permitting" disclaimer on the old Wikispaces site and we were only just barely able to keep them up back then. Today we are in a very different environment and advise players to patch their games to at least 1.67 in order to enjoy the current versions of the mods being offered and any support that we are able to provide for them -- those on Origin and Steam installs don't have to worry about patch levels because the systems they are run through take care of that for them and for those on retail disc installs there is still EA's SuperPatcher.

This site is being provided at no charge to the players (not counting the very small income generated by the ads displayed that helps offset costs a tiny bit) and is being run as efficiently as we are currently able to manage.

Thanks for listening. :)

Are the current mod versions hosted here? I could've sworn I'd downloaded Tagger recently, but now I'm being directed to error pages when I try to download Error Trap: https://ucc320c6a6293bc2164dbbd81570.dl ... /file?dl=1#

tamalinn I don't know what that link is, but it looks like it leads to the same Dropbox source that ErrorTrap is hosted on and the mod downloads for me. What kind of error messages are you getting? Could you try a different browser or is it possibly that Dropbox sourced downloads are being blocked on your end for some reason?

On the mod download page, the download links are the three little icons to the right. Not where it says "Version 100," they are all the same version but just different variants for 1.69 and 1.67 Origin/Steam.

I just tried it again, the link I posted above, and it worked. That's super weird. I wonder why I kept getting the error message before. Oh well, thank you for checking!
