Thanks for all the info. I think I will just stick to the macbook I have for now and continue to play small worlds, rather than encourage hubby to get me a new macbook. Cheaper that way too.

Acquired new Mac, bootcamped, and installed game. I had to fiddle with the graphics files, but so far, so good!

tamalinn - Yay! I am amazed at how little stress the game puts on my still new iMac. Even though it still ran the game fine, by comparison my older one was heating up, huffing and puffing, groaning, I really couldn't keep too many applications running while the game was paused, etc....this one runs everything I need it to "with two fingers up its nose" like the charming expression goes. :yes:
