Question About Removing Particular Nraas Mods and Their Settings

Post by Zero2Hero » June 29th, 2019, 11:39 pm

Do I need to do something if I removed a Nraas mod? Does it depend on the Nraas mod itself? I have excluded the Relativity mod out of my game due to the prolonged times I have waited for the buffering "Game now running at 1 times speed" notification to occur. After I had created a new save, the Relativity mod seems to have remained subliminally working in the background of things because I'm still receiving that elongation in the beginning no matter what neighborhood I load. I'm even starting to wonder which mod is in control of that process, if I'm incorrect. If there is a solution for my complaint, then I thank you all in advance.

Remove the mod and clear (delete) the scriptCache.package file, it will show as just scriptCache if you have extensions hidden through your operating system but it's the same file, and you're done. Although I sincerely doubt Relativity is causing delays at startup. What you are probably experiencing is a delay while all of the mods you have finish loading and the notification from Relativity is just the first sign that things are about finished. The delay on startup for script mods to load is natural, but unless your system is overloaded it shouldn't really take more than a real time minute or so. Note that Overwatch and ErrorTrap will be very busy doing their startup scans and fixes at around that time as well.

If Relativity was set for "1 times speed," then it wasn't doing anything to or for the relative game clock time anyway.

There are some special cases, not very many, when one must be careful when removing NRaas mods from an already ongoing game. Traveler should not be removed when active play is in a custom vacation world or a traveling sim is someone who would never be allowed to travel without the mod (baby/toddler, pregnant, friend of the family, a family pet) as they would be stuck there forever and never be able to return home. Removing the Careers mod while a sim is actively working in a custom career or inside of a custom school would leave them doing something undefined, although in that case a reset would probably fix them if needed.

Question About Removing Particular Nraas Mods and Their Settings

With many obligations, your unfolding is deemed. Therefore, I have inferred your reasons to my troubles. My concerns have been mended. I have remained to stick with the Relativity mod, in great pleasure of its construction. :-)

May I have a word in direct composition if not off subject? You have by far, with many persons been of courageous assistance in the well time being. You probably receive these remarks only in a display of constant matters, but I dedicate you as well as all the other administrators regardless. Mainly in past tense, the dawn of the decade, you even have all managed to aide me unknowingly whilst nix acquiring a page beneficial to Nraas. :-) It was all through personal studies of threads and various sources when you as well as the unanimous direct other pupils, even before I had a mind for birthing an account on any site. :-) Desire to withhold these debugging masterpieces on the database...but I promise to you that the Wayback Machine will have stocked it in antiquity. ;-) In obsessive elation, I stand in intervals of the future for another Nraas revolution. Momentarily, imagine if these Nraas game additions were put into reality (...perhaps not. That instance must halt.) :-)
