I found the section of the Careers XML that I need, but I'm not sure what to adjust. I have some experience making tuning files, but this is new territory for me. Taking the Game Developer as example, I suppose just removing "InfluenceNerd" from Args2 wouldn't be enough. I'm guessing I need to adjust the values in Mappings2? Do I set these to 0? Since you mentioned -1 would be considered invalid?

ETA: Sorry for hijacking this thread, should I start my own?

Mappings2 belongs with Args2 so remove both or enter a different skill (the influences are technically Skills from the games point of view). ModTheSims has a great Career modding tutorial, check out the section on metrics for more help :)

Thank you, that makes sense. And the tutorial looks very helpful, I'll check it out. More fun stuff to play around with, my todo list just got even longer :)

Sorry for leaving you hanging on that it had been awhile since I last looked into the Careers XML I couldn't remember what needed to be removed offhand and didn't have time too look. Glad you got it all sorted out. :)
