Quick question about DE

Post by Sara_Darkees » June 3rd, 2019, 6:21 pm

I was tired that after opening buydebug my game violently slowed down once again. More specifically: this happened when I switched to edit town mode, with buydebug activated. I saw one of the options in DE where I can save the lot to the library. In my case, it would be great if it works the way I understand it. But unfortunately, I don't remember if it's safe to use this option. I read somewhere on an old site about not recommended for use options, but I forgot about that. Can anyone shed any light on the situation?

Quick question about DE

Hi Sara_Darkees,

no, I would not use this option in DE, it does not work the way suggested.
I tried this option some time ago and remember that the lot (house) was deleted completly in the town, but was not saved into the Library.
So, if you wanna try an DEBUG option, you must Backup your current save game and/or create a test named savegame, so you can switch back if something goes wrong.
Because you might not see immediatley what exactly goes wrong ;-)

Some options are very useful and good, but some are not.

F.i. Don't use DEBUG: Cleanup State, because it deletes:
- ALL bookshelves in the world
- all friendship and relationship states - except sims related to blood with all low own friendship points
And maybe more I couldn't see.

For your Slow-Down problem, its weird.
Try to use Buydebug only when you are in the build mode of the lot, if you are ready, turn it off, if you don't need parts from it.

Quick question about DE

Thanks for the answer, but it's all right now. Some small fix was to blame. After its removal buy/build mode with buydebug went like clockwork. Of course, such an operation with the help of DE would be very useful for me, because it could work more effectively, but this is only purely theoretical. Well, if it causes errors, then I'll have to work the old-fashioned way...
