Curfews and age groups

I never did understand why kids got arrested when they were in another Sims house. What kind of totalitarian government do the Sims have anyway? Certainly if they are out on the street after curfew, but I've never in my life heard of someone being arrested for being in their friends/family members home after hours. Maybe mom or dad would be ticked off, but hardly a reason to involve police. LOL

As for my personal gameplay I just turned the whole curfew thing off since none of my townies pay it any mind anyway. If I could enforce it for every child or teen sim it would make sense, but it's stupid to just have the actives getting into trouble. Besides, most of the time my sims kids are out late they are at a family members home. I don't always get to the "ask to spend the night" question when playing either, it seems to only appear during certain hours and if it's too close to curfew I always got into trouble anyway. But I am with you littlelambsy, I hate seeing the younger kids especially out and about at 3 and 4am! Often in the cemetery or visiting someone, which especially ticks me off since my actives can't visit anyone after a certain hour!

FlightRising, I'll try setting Enforce Curfew to True and see if that helps.

I think I've been playing this game too long, I'm losing my mind, (developed the Absent Minded Trait). It also Picks me when I see kids running around town at 2, 3 am when they should be in bed. I think I've also gained the Grumpy trait from watching all this madness. :)
Has that helped?

Unfortunately it didn't stop the non active kids from roaming around town at all hours. :(

What settings have you got the children caste set to?

Apply to Household = False
Caste Automatic = True
Caste Gender: M/F

Ah, I think I see your problem. So your Children Caste would be overrode with any Caste setting that overrides If you had a vampire caste with a Curfew Beginning at 23:00 and ending at 03:00 that was set at priority higher then you would see vampire children wandering around between the hours of 03:00-06:00. I'm not sure if it's like golf (lower numbers = stronger) or other sports though (higher numbers = stronger)

Still, the problem is with the priority settings.

Thanks FlightRising, but I dont play with vampires and have them turned off. And, all my other priority settings are for my married cast and celebrities which dont include children. I can set the priority lower but I dont think it will make any difference.

The vampires was just an example. And come to think of it, I'm not sure now whether the priority should be higher or lower. But fiddling with the caste priority settings can't hurt, right? ;)
