My mailbox is getting overrun with books that my sim family writes. Where can I turn it off? I know there is a setting for it but I can't seem to find it. I'm not even sure how it was turned on for my writer's to receive copies of the books that they write.
Any help would be appreciated.
Also, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the mom's out there
Cheers,

How do I get rid of Books?
Oof, I really don't like the subject line of this thread. It sounds like, until one actually reads the question, that you do not like books and wish to ban them. That's...not very nice. (just kidding here)
There may be a setting or a tuning mod out there that prevents this. But I take it that you do not have your sims interact with their mailbox very often if you are finding it overrun with complimentary copies of completed works sent by the publisher? I always saw this as a fun perk for having written something. If I don't want the free copies on my sims' bookshelves or care to give them away to friends and relatives as gifts, I just sell them.
And yes, Happy Mother's Day.

If the situation is extremely hard, what about the radical way? Click on your home lot and use MC>>Object Status>>In Luggage(I'm not sure about that)>>WrittenBooks. And then you can get rid of them completely.

How do I get rid of Books?
Thanks Igazor and Sara.
No Igazor, I don't check my mailbox often except for when I'm checking for IF's after having a baby. Otherwise, I feel like I stay busy enough just keeping my household fed, showered, fixing meals, etc. (I like large families)
I actually found what I was looking for under (SP) after looking a half dozen times.
Much appreciation for all the hard work ya'll do.
Cheers,

Sorry took so long replying Chain_Reaction but my gaming time is hit and miss lately. I'm not sure if what I found in SP is what I was looking for or not, haven't had a chance to test it, but,
SP > General Options > Options: Skills > Add Written Books to Library (False)
I'll let ya know if changing it to false fixed it for me or not.

That does what it says, adds the books to the library. It has nothing to do with the mailbox.
