Hi, I have an adventure problem and hope someone knows how to fix it....

My Sim was following an adventure Chain in China (I forget how the whole chain started) anyway to the point where he had to then go to France and get the Dragon Keystone from the final section of the Chateau...I did all this successfully, then playing today back to China (the adventure is now called "Why...That's the Keystone!")

On arrival of Sim in china I got the message ....sim cannot complete adventure target missing ....I then got a different adventure, and completed that, sent Sim back to adventure board and guess what got Why...That's the Keystone! again so I accepted it, now my Sim has the Dragon Cave keystone in his inventory but he can't put it in the slot...the adventure just says go to china talk to Sima Zhi, although obviously my Sim is in China, in map view there are no targets for the opportunity ...

So sent Sim home then back To China unfortunately the whole thing just repeats.....Help! I'm about 3/4sthrough the whole adventure thing would hate to have to scrap game now

Thanks Littlelambsy - it's remarkable that we all describe the situation the same (I mean me and the other 2 players who posted this problem) - I've never had this problem before although this is only my 3rd time in about 8 years of going for all the tomb objects

The only solution seemed to be giving it time, I was hoping for someway of getting in to the Dragon's cave despite this set-back....I think I'll send sim to Egypt next still have a couple to complete there and then try China again.

I just had another thought I probably need to check I am up to date patch wise....I recently resurrected my desktop from an old backup, I'll report back if that was the problem....I'm on 1.67 but haven't had any launcher messages about updates

There hasn't been a Launcher-delivered patch since Jan 2014. Patch 1.67 is current and as far as those went.

There is a Patch 1.69 for Windows/Origin players, but it is delivered by Origin for Windows only, has nothing to do with the game files, and is only concerned with the manner in which the game starts up. Those of us on Steam, disc installs where we do not wish to have an Origin tie-in, and the Mac version of the game do not have this patch as it is not for us.

Hi Igazor! long time! OK so not a patch issue, I had another thought after sending Sim to China 3 times, the game changes the name of who to contact....however the name of who too contact is the same when Sim is back home....so maybe I can resurrect the original sim and it will work....will require a lot of messing about and to and froing but I'll give it a shot... ambrosia works wonders

Well I'm done with tomb collecting for about another year, (like I said I've only actually got it all twice before) mainly because I just liked getting a foreign house and sending sims there rather than completing the tombs....anyway this run was pretty disastrous and I'm amazed all the bugs haven't been ironed out yet....I ended up cheating the door to the Dragon Cave by deleting it and putting a normal door in, this was a bad compromise cos I couldn't defeat whoever I forget because some of the chain was missed

then in Egypt I got the "trapped at home" adventure and just as my sim arrived at the Rashid household they ran off never to be seen again, I ended up going to edit town deleting the Rashids and sneaking in !....finally I completed all tombs but couldn't find the last dangerous creature despite 15 days in Egypt going back over the tombs, doing all the dig sites and visiting the relic merchant every day....all in all a bad experience

So I've spent a few hours the last couple days and I think I have found a solution using DebugEnabler. After returning to China and the mission cancles because the target is unavailable click on your sim and select nraas - DE - Options: Smartphone (or Sim) - Opportunities - Add Opportunity - Adventures - China - Quests. This will bring up all the adventure opportunities for China. The one you will want is labled " EP1 Quest MaineChinaC1". This is the next step in this adventure after returning to China with the Dragon Cave Key.
Hope this helps save others the frustration as I could not find any tested fixes posted for this issue.
