With "allow babies/toddlers to be home alone" set to true I don't get the "[toddler sim] can't be left here alone, hire a baby sitter?" notification when I leave the lot, which is good, but it just spawns a sitter instead. I'm pretty sure I don't have any other mods relating to this, but maybe another nraas mod's setting is causing it, or could fix it?

I do not believe the setting is intended to allow us to leave our babies and toddlers at home alone on the actively being played household, I believe it's meant for the inactive residents as to whether they need to hire a babysitter, have their babies/toddlers go into hibernation, or neither. Any of those can be okay for inactives because the game takes care of their basic needs for them. This is not so with the actively played household, and of course an actively played baby/toddler cannot take care of itself. A trusted teen or older, so that means a household member, a babysitter, or a daycare provider, has to be with active babies/toddlers at all times.

And once again I'm reminded of little Opal, who was perfectly fine with her fairy house while the "babysitter" didn't even bother to come into the house all day to check on the toddler he was being paid to look after...

But asking the mod to check to see if the toddler has an easily available food supply and place they can get into for a nap is a bit much. Most of that is CC.

Er yes, perhaps I should have been more clear. "A trusted teen or older" includes hired babysitters, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are competent. Some of them react to kids' needs much better than others and with some of them the toddler would be a better choice to be in charge and keep an eye on the too easily distracted teen. But it remains a requirement to have them around if no one else from the active household is present.

Leave out the word "trusted" since some of those babysitters can't be trusted as far as you can throw them.
