More Woohoo Problems!

Post by littlelambsy » April 11th, 2019, 11:28 pm

Now why won't my sims woohoo or try for baby? I have a married couple that are very strong in their relationship and have 3 kids, which I had to direct them to have because they wouldn't autonomously woohoo. Now when I get them to do romantic actions the woohoo or TFB doesn't even show up in the option until I have them do a bunch of other romantic options. This is unusual because those options have always been there before. Then, when it does show up and I click on it, they turn each other down and don't want to be touched, pushing the other away. If I try clicking on the bed I don't even get any romantic options, just bed assignment, Relax and NRaas.

Its not just this couple, its all sims. I'm having so much trouble with this and can't figure out why at one point my sims wouldn't leave each other alone and now they won't even touch each other. I'm very frustrated with this whole thing.

Ok just an update, I turned on Debugging in Woohoo and was surprised to see TFB and Woohoo greyed out. Mousing over showed Liking Gate Fail. So I went into all the settings for Liking Gate and found Romantic Liking Gate for User Directed was set to True (I don't even know what that means). I set that to False. The same thing with Trait Scoring for User Directed and I set that to False. Now my sims aren't rejecting each other and are woohooing and TFB but only with my direction. They still don't do it autonomously. Also, the options are now showing up on the bed.

I think Romantic Liking Gate for User Directed means that you only get the options for TFB and Woohoo if they meet the Liking Gate requirement, so if they would also do it autonomously. If it's set to false you get the options even if they don't meet the requirement, but they might refuse to follow your orders and drop the action from their queue.

Other than that I'm afraid I can't help you. Though I did recently have a similar problem, where the TFB and Woohoo options didn't show up until the sims had their "first kiss" (shows up when they are at "very alluring"). That seems to be a trigger for something, because that's also when they would get reputation notifications like "manipulator" and "casanova". I think that started when I installed the Kama Simtra addon. But that's not really going to help you, since you can't go around town to make all your sim couples have their first kiss.

Thanks Cassie, at least they have the options now. I just got to figure out why they don't follow through autonomously.

Yes, I was done after 2! LOL, But, because she's family oriented and keeps having the baby thought icon I thought she would be interested. She can't fulfill the Surrounded by family ltw if she won't comply with her husband. I just wish they would autonomously woohoo. I don't know what changed with my settings because they always use to.

I figured out why they wouldn't autonomously woohoo/TFB. I had Use Trait Scoring set to True. When I changed it to False, they had no problem following through. :)

I have a question about woohoo so I thought maybe it's okay to ask here? Forgive me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, I have GoHere and WooHoo set correctly for this and I've double-checked, but I'm still getting "ask to behave" when I try to have my sim shower-woohoo with their romantic interest in my own sims home. (I never understood why the other sim is the one to get into the shower first when you do this, but whatever) Again, Go Here has the liking gate set at 40% and this particular sim and my sim have an 80% liking gate. IDK why I'm still getting the rude guest stupid thing and it's keeping my sim from woohooing in the shower. Not a huge deal since they will everywhere else, but I'm wondering why it's not being over-ridden. I even tried turning it off and it still happens.

I do feel that I don't want just any sim trying to shower or clean in my sims house, so I do at least want them to be friends, but since turning it off didn't make a differnece I'm wondering what to do.

JohnL83 - If you give the visiting sim the Inappropriate But in a Good Way LTR (from WA), that should stop happening. The other way is to wait until evening or later, and ask the sim to spend the night first even if you have no intention of keeping them around that late. The game itself sees using a shower for anything as something guests shouldn't be doing unless they are staying overnight.

The GoHere setting applies in other cases, such as if your guest were suddenly to have a long drawn out argument with the host's cat or something like that, but I don't think it plays a role here. I have mine set to -90.

Ahhh okay, thanks. I don't always think to give the sims outside the sims I play, LW's I generally dole those out to just the families I make active. This was a new flirt.

Its also odd the timing on staying the night, because very often I have had the whole house line up to cuss out an overnight guest for making up the bed they slept in! I wonder what EA's time limit is on this guest thing!?

It's a shame they don't give us an option to ask the homeowner,. "Hey, can I use your shower?" or "I'm starving, can I grab something to eat?" Instead it's more like, "Hey I'm stinking up your house, because you just talked me into training on your treadmill! Thanks for cussing me out for showering!"

Or my favorite, "I just clogged up your toilet and it overflowed everywhere, let me clean up my mess!" but instead you get... "How rude of you to clean up that mess, I'd rather you just leave that stinking poop mess you made!" :-o

Or especially, "Hey, lets woohoo in the shower, and then I can cuss you out, even though it was my idea." LOL
