Wait, so if I play with occults, but not hybrid occults, its still a good mod to have to address their issues? I avoided it because I didn't want mixed hybrids.

Sim, mod question
I would say yes generally. Let's look at the three common ways (I can think of) that a sim becomes a hybrid.KevinL5275 wrote: ↑April 8th, 2019, 3:08 pmWait, so if I play with occults, but not hybrid occults, its still a good mod to have to address their issues? MC Add Occult -- obviously the sims won't become hybrids if you don't add second and third, etc. occult states to sims yourself as the player without removing any first ones they may have had.
Genetics -- if your are using SP, that can be set to a 0% chance of hybrids forming on birth (Options: Pregnancy), immigration (Options: Lots > Options: Immigration/Emigration), and formation of NPCs (Options: Sims > Options: Immigration/Emigration; SP Population module required for this last one). They are all 0 by default anyway, so hybrids should not be produced these ways unless you want them to.
In-game Events -- this one I'm less sure about. But if an occult state is gained by a sim who already has a different one, then I believe with the Hybrid mod in play it seems like they would keep both states. I don't know how many of these combos are really going to happen, though. Can a vampire "turn" a werewolf, can a witch baby also become a fairy by way of the SP Personality scenario, can a genie eat mermadic kelp and become a genie-mermaid, etc.? Since I like having some hybrids in my game, up to a point, I never tried to be all that restrictive about these things (and I don't play with the personality modules myself currently).
