Wild horse routing
How do I get rid of the stupid wild horses who seem to be routing through the property where i placed my family? I keep doing a TA on them, but I am obviously in a common spot for them to route. I don't want to get rid of horses and I even have a low limit on how many can be in game. But other than move my sims house, is there something else I can do so they stay off my land? It's not even a lot I placed, it was an empty lot I built up from scratch.

Under Miscellaneous Pet Supplies you can find a Stray Wildlife Gnome. By default these attract wildlife, but if you click it you can set it to Discourage Stray Visitors. Maybe this will help.

Sorry if this is too obvious, but have you tried fencing off and gating the property or do they just walk though/jump over that?

The only problem with fencing off the whole property is you need to make sure you have enough space outside the fence for the mailbox and for the mail carrier to get to it otherwise they'll throw routing errors. They complain if the mailbox is behind a fence and gate so probably fence off the back yard and leave the front open.

I did consider this, but when they appear it seems to be inside my lot and I thought that perhaps they were not routing outside the lot, but either very near or just inside. It is a 50/50 lot that used to be the bad guys warehouse in Starlight Shores. I bull dosed the building and made it my sims home. I had a great house I'd built that I plopped there. I turned off criminal careers for this town before I ever moved there, the constant break in's in Starlight S. got annoying. It's also the town where I can't seem to shut off the &*(!#$ requests for writing books! It IS off in SP and I even turned off all writing options and STILL I keep getting pop ups to name such and such book! GRRRRRRR...igazor post_id=64887 time=1553788241 user_id=6716 wrote: Sorry if this is too obvious, but have you tried fencing off and gating the property or do they just walk though/jump over that?
Sorry that last part is another thread, but it's really bugging the crap outta me because every now and then I will get like 4 or more in a row! Yes I reset the town twice too. IDK...sigh

Thank you. I may try that, but I have my Overwatch set to get rid of all Gnomes, I hate the stupid things.Still, if I get annoyed enough it maybe a toss up.

This is a regular garden gnome, not one of the magical ones. It's CAStable and stays where you put it. You buy it in the regular section of buy mode, not in buydebug, so I don't think Overwatch removes it.

Thanks Cassie! It worked. He didn't disappear. I had no idea about this because I hated the gnomes from the start so I just ignored them when decorating and stuff. lol. When I first played this a little over a year ago I'd read it's a game you never stop learning new things about and I'm finding this to be true! I played for a year before I knew a Daycare worker could "tell a tale" which I found fun, but wish moms and dads could do it too when their kids are young. Instead of the ghost story every time!Cassie post_id=64909 time=1553837768 user_id=18582 wrote: This is a regular garden gnome, not one of the magical ones. It's CAStable and stays where you put it. Cassie, the Gnome is keeping every wild animal off my lot. I was wondering if it would also keep away stray dogs and cats and while I'm not 100% sure it has, I have not seen any animals visit my sims home since putting the Gnome there and setting him to not allow any wildlife. Thank you for your suggestion! I think the game must consider any un-owned animal as wildlife, but again, it's possible I just have not had a stray cat or dog visit. But this did stop the horses and they were bugging me the most. Especially since they eat from my sims garden.
