Sorry if this has been asked already, but is there a tutorial anywhere on how to make a house function as the pet adoption house? My plan so far has been to just give a household as many cats and dogs as I could and then just cross my fingers and hope that would work :):idea:

As I understand it, EA's approach to the Pet Adoption House is to select one at random and magically foist baby animals on it that never existed before and do not have genetic connections to any adult animals in the world. If no one adopts the animals, they disappear. Besides not working correctly and the scenario often enough getting stuck resulting in worlds that cannot be traveled from and other game-breaking issues, many players find the whole concept unnecessary when there are so many other ways to bring pets into a world especially when adult animals already exist and are ready to breed. Even without that, inactives can and will adopt animals on their own just as actively played households can and they will adopt baby animals from their friends' households.

NRaas' approach to the Pet Adoption House is to shut the whole thing down. Overwatch offers that shutdown as a mod option and the mere existence of StoryProgression stops the scenario from ever firing.

I do not know of a way to keep this scenario formally and get it to work properly. But of course we as players can distribute adopted pets, either those from the adoption center rosters listed in the newspaper, by computer, etc., those born in-game, and those we create ourselves, to inactive households by way of MasterController if these things are not going to get started up by themselves.

Ah, ok. I didn't realise it was messy (although I should have guessed) I'll just find an alternative way to play an animal shelter. Thanks Igazor!
