Animations for Eating Dried or Edible Food

Post by Rhiannon Is Chillin » February 24th, 2019, 9:32 pm

I just installed Nona's Food Script for some really cute Edible Food I downloaded. I noticed that when my sims eat the morsels, they eat too fast! A few bites and it's gone. Is there an NRaas mod to make the animation cycle a few more times so that my sims get to enjoy eating it for longer? I'm looking at the Animator mod and Retuner mod. Will one of these work? Or maybe another mod? Is it even possible?

Hello @Rhiannon is Chilling! I have personally never tried Nona's Food script or any custom Edible Food, however I'd assume that they rely on the same eating animation cycle as for basegame & EP food?

If my assumption is right, there are 2 mods over at MTS for slower eating:
http://www.modthesims.info/d/350795/slo ... s-edo.html
http://www.modthesims.info/d/465485/fas ... weaks.html

I'm unsure if they're working properly with the latest patches. Worst case scenario, looking into the code of the 1st mod and reading the description of the 2nd mod, reveals which elements were tuned to achieve the desired "slower eating" result, so hopefully you can locate those elements in Retuner and update them to your liking.

Does it help?

If I remember correctly they are modded from the dried food you can get for WA adventures, not sure it is considered a meal so I am not sure ifthe slower eating mods work, they might but it has been awhile since I have been able to play so I don’t remember for sure. Retuner might be able to but I wouldn’t even know where to look.
