My sims haven't received a single bill in their entire lifetime so far, and naturally the first thing I checked was to make sure none of them had the No Bills Ever lifetime reward. Eventually, a bit of searching indicated that it's a bug resulting from the junk mail I get from my sim running a blog. I've never actually seen any of this junk mail (thanks to Overwatch, I'm sure), but I would like to be able to eliminate it from the source so that bills can be delivered to my house. Retuner has a setting called kChanceOfGettignJunkMail (typo included) which I set to 0, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm not sure if it's because of the typo or if it just doesn't work as intended.
So I was hoping someone would be able to point me in the right direction. If maybe there's another approach I could be taking that doesn't involve getting rid of my sim's blog.

I didn't think to ask this when the question was first raised elsewhere, and this likely isn't it. But is it possible you are you using SP Money and have its Automatic Active Billing feature switched on, or another mod (I think AwesomeMod also has this feature) that arranges for billing by automatic debit instead of physical bills arriving through the mail system?

After looking in the GameplayData.package the default should already have been at 0.ArcadeLackey post_id=63873 time=1551041842 user_id=19836 wrote: kChanceOfGettignJunkMail (typo included) which I set to 0
Do you have any mods that alter the way the Mailbox works or changes the Mailbox XML?

I have Overwatch installed. I remember reading somewhere that it "replaces the mailbox with one that works".

I see in several parts of the Revision Notes where it fixes several Get Mail interactions that tend to error out and bounce the mail system and one for the GetMailEX that allowed junk mail to stay in the mailbox but I didn't see anything about replacing the mailbox.ArcadeLackey wrote: ↑February 25th, 2019, 4:20 amI have Overwatch installed. But anyway my sim also has a Blog and gets bills regularly. We are still finding bugs in the game even to this day maybe you just found one that had never been reported until now.
Will have to wait and see what Chain_Reaction has to say.

...Huh. Well I do have AwesomeMod. But this is the first household I haven't had physical bills showing up, or at least so I would swear. My last household was last year though so maybe I ended up turning that setting on even though I'm not sure where to look for it now. Some form of automatic billing is active though, because I noticed the amount get deducted when the mail came this time around.
So false alarm, I guess, lol.

Look, as long as your bills are paid on time the town/world authorities and your other creditors don't care how it's done. In theory, you could send them rolls of pennies and nickels to pay the bills (do sims have coins like this?).
AwesomeMod's options are available for changing through its configuration tool. It's a long series of options questions/settings for that, once you change something, can be saved as a separate settings file to replace the one you probably already have. Or there might be a cheats console command under setconfig to do the same, but it's easy to get lost trying to do it that way.
StoryProgressions are on City Hall or an in-game computer under NRaas > SP > General Options > Options: Money > Options: Debt and Taxes if you are using SP and have the SP Money add-on module.
The reason I don't like Automated Billing no matter which mod provides for it is that there is then no flexibility to pay the bills a bit later on (not too much later so as not to trigger the overdue situation and the Repo Sim) if cash flow is tight or try to investigate why the bill is so much higher or lower than we think it should be before paying it anyway. Unified Billing, on the other hand, I am in favor of as that is what causes inactive households to also pay their bills automatically and puts them into debt when they cannot afford to do so.
But glad we got that figured out.

I don't have the SP mod installed, so it's not that. I'm thinking it has to be AwesomeMod. I noticed Overwatch has an option for automated billing, but it's disabled. In the end, I'm not that worried as long as my sims are getting bills and they're paying them.
In the beginning, my sims weren't able to check the mail at all as soon as my sim made a blog. It would just leave the "get mail" option available and my sims wouldn't collect anything from it. That was fixed when I updated Overwatch, but I thought something was still wrong since I still wasn't getting physical bills. I had used Debug Enabler to view the mailbox's inventory and it showed both junk mail and bills, so I just assumed junk mail was the culprit.
