This seems like a really cool mod, but it's also a very old one. It says the last code update was in 2012. So is this still usable? My patch is 1.69.

Well, unlike TS2, if you install something incompatible with the game or do something rash, TS3 files will not be damaged. You can always exit without saving, and remove problematic content. But just in case, before taking risks and testing something, make backups of your saves. By the way, do you happen to know what adds to the game mod and module Careers assassin? That's not exactly what you need? And why do weapons seem to be something very interesting in the peaceful world?

(sighs) I wish we could really answer that question here globally. It would save the entire (real) world a lot of time and trouble and would be great advertising for NRaas -- Hey, come get your TS3 mods from the site that single-handedly ended violence in the entire world! :)

Unfortunately, in this case we can only philosophize or something like that, and even if we find the answer, the solution to the global problem will be only in theory. But I really like the Sims world for its ideality. Of course, there may be drawbacks (because it is really difficult to foresee all the details, for example, there is a type of players who very likes pool parties, with a fence, or gatherings next to a cheap fireplace) but anyway this world looks very peaceful and prosperous. If I wanted to shoot someone, I'd play another game.

The problem with the Careers Assassination module is it is not entirely clear how to use it. Admittedly the Weapons System may also be not clear though, but I haven't tested it. It's not clear how to join the assassination career, nor is it clear how to start building up your assassination skill. Sure I can use MasterController to master it, but that is kind of lame. Even when I have used MasterController to master assassination, it will just say "StoryProgression denied" whenever I try to assassinate someone.

If these issues would be resolved it would work for what I have in mind. However, if the Weapons System works with my game that would be even better because of realism. I like each of the towns I create to have an over-arching story, and one town I am wanting to make is a town based on the show Continuum. The show Continuum starts off in the future and shows the world has become a dictatorship. A gang that opposes the dictatorship hatches a plan to time travel and stop the dictatorship from occurring, but a future cop accidentally follows them, and tries to thwart their mission. Story-wise, if you have seen the show, it makes a lot more sense for the gang to use guns instead of assassination. It's not a big deal but if I can achieve more realism without having to put a lot of effort in, it's an improvement in my book.

Okay, if you want to know, there in the comments some users said that this mod is still working and even compatible with version 1.69. But I don't know how it behaves with nraas-mods, so I can't say anything about that. Also I didn't see when the last time the author was there, but he has updated his mod death note. Apparently, killing sims is his specialty.

The weapons mod works with 1.67 (and should also work with 1.69). One of my Sims recently shot herself on the lawn in front of her ex-husbands's home. She was so devastated by their break up, she couldn't go on living. It was tragic.

Regarding the assassination career / skill, it has been my experience that when a Sim dies on a lot that my active Sim is on, a pop up will ask if the active Sim wants to take credit for the death. If I choose "yes" then that Sim gains the assassination skill. Each kill after that builds on the skill and unlocks new ways of killing.

Hope this helps :)

Hello SillySimmerGirl. Thanks for your response! I have another question, where do you go to purchase a gun?

It should be in the "hobbies and skills" section.
