Sims 3 Open For Business Mod

Post by Uhtred » February 14th, 2019, 5:09 pm

One thing I've always wanted to do in the Sims 3 is be able to run a business like you can in the Sims 2 expansion pack Open For Business, as well as, so I've heard, the town Midnight Hollow (which I'm not able to get at this time). So is there any mod that lets you do this?

Unfortunately, EA are greedy 🤬s and tied most of that into Store items. (Business as Usual Bistro for restaurants; the ticket/turnstile thing to charge for entrance to a lot is part of the Cinema Plumbob I think; store shelves/pedestals/rugs are in Midnight Hollow)

However, it looks like you don't need those items to use Ani's Shop From Inventory or Produce Stand mods, which are right here at Nraas.

Business in TS2 compared to business in TS3 it's like like heaven and earth. I think when fans hinted to developers that they wanted business in TS3, they didn't mean what we got in the result. By the way, don't get fooled by this town's trailer. It shows a wonderful, very bright shops, but they are not in the game. Of course, they warned that there may not be what is in the pictures, because it's just a version of how the finished product may look. But where's all the beauty now? You know, I remembered here a poster IKEA, which offers a chic chair for yourself, and worse - for the guests. Perhaps the developers also decided to save for themselves all the best. So using mods for business that are here is a very good alternative. In addition, you do not have to find out why some sellers in Midnight Hollow wear swimwear.

In addition to the excellent ideas from InsanityPrelude, if you want a home business, I recommend Inge's Ticket Machine at Simlogical: OFB 4 TS3. :-)

If one of you figure out how to clone me we'd have way better business game play. Just saying.
