That darn school cheer!!!

No one knows everything this mod can do. Did you know you can tune the size of your sims nostrils with this mod? I'm kidding.

That darn school cheer!!!

Post by JohnL83 » January 25th, 2019, 5:00 pm

So I went into social interactions and I've managed to turn of autonomous school cheer. For a long time no one did one and they still don't do it with other sims, but I still have the occasional sim do it on their own out of nowhere. I'm assuming that when a sim does something by themselves this would NOT be considered a "social interaction" and therefore the sims will still do the stupid thing by themselves? I have searched far a wide trying to figure out which of the thousands of options in Retuner this could be under for single sim autonomous actions and cannot find it. Anyone have any ideas on this?

Also, I am still getting effin trick or treat guests occasionally, even after setting Retuner as shown in the Members guide to Retuner settings. So someone who never has trick or treaters show up would you please give me the settings you have regarding this so that I can shut them down once and for all?!

There exist two classes of TS3 players who have Seasons. Those who say they have successfully gotten rid of Trick or Treating entirely (without "cheating" by playing a world that has no children/teens in it), and those who are telling the truth.:P

Now I don't really mean that, but am hoping that will help kick up some helpful responses from indignant members whom I have just called a bunch of liars. Personally, as we have already covered, I gave up on this mission long ago.

"Practice School Cheer" is a self interaction which Jocks get at one of the Jock levels and which I think is autonomous. Have you tried enabling Retuner's object menu, clicking on a sim>NRaas>Retuner and looking for the interaction there?

I use the mod I linked to in another post. Since getting that mod years ago I think I've had trick or treaters maybe once. I've never tried disabling them via Retuner.

Igazor, I think I'm just going to trust the guy who's always been right up to this point and accept the fact that kids will be walking around in hotdog costumes now and then and I will have to MC cheat them back into real clothes. What I've taken to doing actually is, as soon as I see the first teen in a costume, is head to City Hall, Nraas>Sim>Basic>Test Fully Family>Teens/children>Everyday Clothing. ;)
I'd never thought of that until just a few weeks ago; that it would work to put all the selection in town at once back into their everyday outfits. IDK, I guess I just thought that was something that had to be done individually, but it works en masse too, so easy enough to deal with.

TreyNutz, I keep forgetting I can select a sim individually to do these things, but I'd rather just not see anyone doing the school cheer randomly. I mean who does this? Sure I break into song while showering or doing dishes, but I can't recall a single time that I've just been standing there and did a school cheer for no reason! LOL (I don't remember my school cheer, plus it's been decades and I hated pep rally's anyway!) :|
