Transfer MC settings: How to?

Post by Gargoyle Cat » January 13th, 2019, 8:33 am

This is the stupid question of the day.

How do I transfer my MC settings to a different world? I have a file in my sim bin with my saved settings, but what do I do with it? Whatever that process is, I'm guessing I do the same thing with settings from Retuner?

Transfer MC settings: How to?

Many of the mods have Export/Import functions through which you can, in-game with the source world loaded, export the mod settings into a Library file and then import them into the target world. If you use Overwatch to do this, you can hit all or any subset of the NRaas mods at once.
NRaas > Overwatch > Immediate > Export/Import Settings

Retuner does not have its own export/import functions but they can be reached the Overwatch way. Many players find it best to export those alone, not with the other mods, and import them separately. Note that usually the game has to be saved (saved as), quit entirely, and reloaded in order for imported Retuner settings to take hold.

Your sim bin is a set of CAS templates. Perhaps you mean the household bin? This is where the exported settings show up, but they are then to be imported by way of MC or Overwatch. There's nothing that can be done with the generic looking icon entry on the household bin screen except delete.
