I got a ban, but did not break rules

Today I just registered and downloaded a couple of files.
Now I see this on my desktop:

Code: Select all

Error 1006 Ray ID: 498810d5cb93c77b • 2019-01-13 13:03:55 UTC
Access denied
What happened?
The owner of this website (www.nraas.net) has banned your IP address (95.24.244.157).

I got a ban, but did not break rules

Hi there. Moving this thread to Site Help and Feedback.

We did not ban your IP address (or user name, etc.) explicitly and the ban must have been temporary since it looks like you are still using it if I am reading the user reports correctly and you are on the message boards now. It's more likely that it is in a block of addresses that was deemed problematic by the site's security system. Our webmaster will have to check into that and get back to you if he can.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but if it's any consolation my IP has been temporarily banned as well with that exact same error code a couple of times. Though that's been all sorted out now. :)

It looks like you were using google translate? It was behaving in a way that was suspicious. I just tried it and did not trigger the firewall so I'm not sure why you did. Nevertheless you've been unbanned.
