How can I make a caste just for the alien household? I don't want to include resident aliens that may be in the world. When I create the automatic caste I don't know if under Sim Type whether to choose Service or Homeless Non-Service. I suspect the aliens are not technically Service sims, does anyone know?

I want to disallow aging for the alien household. I usually do that manually, but thought it might be nice to set up a caste to apply that setting automatically. I already have the Death: Allow Aging set to False for the Service caste, but in my last game the aliens still aged way past their age spans and never seemed to age transition (and then never abducted anyone). So, I'm going to try Homeless Non-Service this time and see what happens.

I thought I'd ask for any advice before I get too far in my game. I have Match All Filters set to true, ages limited to YA-A-E, and Sim Type set to Alien and Homeless Non-Service.

Technically I believe the homeless Alien "household" is Service, should be the same as the Mermaids, but from what you have tried it seems that SP doesn't see them that way. When we think of Homeless Non-Service, we usually think of transient co-workers and Showtime street performers. Maybe vehicle drivers, but they are in a class unto themselves and never progress anyway.

If Home Non-Service doesn't work out, I would try just Homeless and Alien. You will pick up other NPCs who happen to be Aliens that way, but at least not the residents. And then if that doesn't work out either I would try just Alien but then create a Resident Alien caste of higher Priority so as to exclude the resident ones.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately I don't see a 'Homeless' option under Caste Filter: Sim Type.

I'll try the 2 caste method if Homeless Non-Service doesn't work out.

Update: It's been a week in game and all alien ages are either at the first day in the YA age span or the first day in the Adult age span. They aren't aging. Homeless Non-Service seems to be working.
