Editing Pets in CAS

Post by Kukko69 » December 7th, 2018, 8:21 am

I have a problem with editing pets in CAS, meaning pets that I already have in game but want to customize later on by clicking the sim and choosing Edit in Create-A-Sim (while TestingCheats is enabled). CAS opens normally and let's me do the regular stuff but when I want to edit the pet more specifically, coat and its layers, the option window for this won't open. It does something (like trying to open it) but it won't become visible, and if I quit CAS after this, the basic CAS options will remain visible in my active playing as a bug.

I'm sorry if my explanation is not fathomable...

What is causing this, and how can I get the coat layer editing window (not sure what is the correct name for it) open? I breed horses in my game and it really bugs me that the genetics are awfully unrealistic - therefore I need to fix and customize my foals' coats after they have been born, however, it's not possible because of this bug. I recall this CAS editing working fine some long time ago, but not sure when this problem started to occur.

The problem remains with cats and dogs also, but human sims are fine.

Thanks!

Have you tried MCs Edit in CAS instead?

Such an easy solution, why didn't I think of it myself? Thank you, WoolySmurf, it works perfectly via MC! This helped me a lot!

:D That's the sort of thing I do all the time; I always expect everything to be more complicated than it is and overlook the simple things. Glad I could help.
