My sim just bragged to her sister about being a doctor. She went to university and got a degree in Communications and she's a Writer, but hasn't written any books yet. She's far from a doctor so why is she delusional?

Perhaps she is getting ready to write an epic novel where the main character is a doctor and she is trying to "get into" the role, of course to write better.

Well, she's just started a humor novel, so I guess she's trying to be funny :)  sims always surprise me with the things they do and want. I had to check her job status nd degree, just to make sure the game hadn't pulled a fast one on me and changed her status.

LOL I get that option for my Daycare worker and IDK why. She never went to univerity and she's never been anything but a daycare worker and wife. Sims are just odd in general though don't you think? :-) Frustrating and yet somehow still fun...

If your sim went to University, she may be bragging about her doctorate degree?

(The one nobody bothered to tell the player about.)

Really?  when I click on her and under friendly it has the option to "brag about being a doctor"  She does often whip out the degree and show it off, but actions shows as "Brag about degree".  Still, I learn something new about sims all the time. :)

My daycare sim who wants to brag about being a doctor never went to Uni. I created her as a YA, got her married quickly and she started a Daycare. I actively played she and her hubby for a bit and then went back to my main family. While I was gone she got pregnant and had triplets. So I went back to play her for a bit.  After her maternity leave was up it was insane having her manage the Daycare with 3 toddlers and her own 3 babies/toddlers. WHEW! Her husband works at the school and I would generally have him give lectures after work for 3 or so times, but after the triplets he got his butt home right after work to help out! LOL. Anyway, back to the point, she's never had any doctor type degrees and she still get's that option to this day. I was curious so I stated another daycare in another town/game and it's the same thing. Apparently being a daycare worker give you some type of doctorate?  I remember you have a daycare in your game. Is this the character who's doing that? If not, does your daycare worker get this option?

I did have a daycare but I've switched worlds and started from scratch again. At the moment I don't have a daycare.  The sim who's "delusional" is a writer and her sister is a singer.  They both went to uni and my writer got a degree in communications and the singer in fine arts.  So, it seems this delusion is common. Weird.

Triplets, wow that must have been insane LOL

HAHA yes, I got very frustrated. Once 3 sims dropped off hungry toddlers and of course her triplets were hungry at the same time. I couldn't get her to do anything at all because everyone was screaming and she wouldn't budge! Just covered her ears and complained. I tried speeding the game up and nope...the actions all stayed queued and she just freaked! She has all the right traits too! I'd never had a sim do that before, at least to that extent, but after more than 2 sim hours I ended up just cheating their needs so she would move again.
