I'm a bit confused. I've set SP for a few sims to not assign them jobs (not the "carreer", the SP sim setting) and now, after my actives came back from France, two of them suddenly got a part time carreer. The notifications came up during the late evening/night when usually SP assigned career notifications come up so I'm not sure if it happened through a game intervention or a SP hiccup. I've checked the SP/sim settings and they are still at no jobs for those sims.

I've also set SP not to assign self-employment and Ambitions carreers but I've got at least one private investigator. in town now.

Some clarification needed, perhaps. Are the sims in question teens? I've never seen SP assign part time jobs to anyone YA or older. And sorry if I'm not understanding this right away, but they are not in the actively being played household, nor part of the travel party that went to France, but that was mentioned to establish the timing of the job placements, correct?

The sims were Cornelia Goth and Agnes Crumplebottom and they both got the custom part time job at the police station. The one who became a private investigator was a teen though. The only sims who traveled were my two actives and all happened in the evening of the day they returned back home.

Strange. The only thing I can think of is that the game itself, not SP, gave the ladies jobs anyway to provide co-workers for other sims who may be in that career. If I insist a sim must remain jobless, in addition to SP's Allow Find Job > False, I will also give them the Careers mod custom Unemployed non-career placeholder and the game tends to leave them alone in that regard indefinitely.
