Retuner Settings

No one knows everything this mod can do. Did you know you can tune the size of your sims nostrils with this mod? I'm kidding.

Retuner Settings

Post by Sonshine » November 22nd, 2018, 6:17 pm

Hi, I know it's been a while since I've been in here. I use Retuner a lot and espcially for the setting for my sims not getting the "unfinished room" moodlet. When I tried using the suggested setting of "0 tiles until they get the moodlet, it never worked. Last night I had an idea of setting it 100 and it worked! My sims no longer get the "unfinished room" moodlet now. I like to make my own greenhouses and whenever they are in those working the garden, they've always gotten the negative moodlet. Now they don't! I'm also doing an apocalypse challenge where the bunker is bing built a little bit at a time and only half the walls and floors are covered. So this is useful for that as well. Maybe somebody can change that on the User suggested settings page for Retuner?

I would if I could but the Members' Retuner Settings page doesn't seem to be loading for me at the moment, sorry. I'm sure it will be fixed soon though and thanks for letting us know about the correct setting value. :-)

Are you referring to this setting?
NRaas>Retuner>Settings>General>By Tunable XML>Sims3.Gameplay.ActorSystems>BuffUnfinishedRoom>kPercentMissingForBuff

Have that set and 0 and also see the Unfinished Room buff in rooms with unfinished walls.  I think you are right and that the 0 setting is too low.  The default is 0.2 (percentage in decimal form).  There's also a separate setting for the future world (Oasis Landing) and that setting is 0.5 to account for the future homes which have unfinished ground (ponds and such) inside.  The xml file says the value is a "Percentage of a room that needs to have missing wall and floor covering to trigger the 'unfinished room' buff."  So, I suspect 100 is overdoing it.  I'd guess a value of 1 is sufficient.  I'm about to build a greenhouse in my current game, I'll check out whether my sims get the buff with the setting at 1.

I'm sure 100 is overdoing it, LOL  Maybe not as much as 10,000 on the wait thing for the mascot thugh, LOL. Anyway, let me know if it works.

I set it as 1 and my sim didn't get the unfinished room moodlet in his greenhouse (which had no floor whatsoever).
