So I downloaded the necessary mods I use for sims 3 but it's a no show in game. I have tried with cc and without cc and just nraas by itself - no dice.

I updated through origin, repaired, uninstall, and even just not play with expansions and just base game. Still nothing.

So now, I run the game and keep my file explorer open to check what's up. And for some reason my mods folder gets abducted by aliens. MIA! MOD-FOLDER-NAPPED!!!

Any ideas what might be causing that?

May I ask please exactly where this Mods folder is before it disappears on you? Can we see some screen shots of File Explorer in Detail View, showing the path and contents (as much as possible anyway) of your TS3 User game folder, your Mods folder and your Packages folder?

The TS3 user game folder is supposed to be within Electronic Arts in Documents. That's the "regular" Windows profile provided Documents library folder. It looks to me like your TS3 and TS4 user game folders are in OneDrive, in a subfolder that is called Documents. The game will spawn a folder there if gets the chance, when OneDrive is allowed to be active.

The purpose of OneDrive is to sync files with cloud storage. Your live, in use game folder should not be there. What many who have no real use for OneDrive do is deactivate it completely after moving their game folders back to regular Documents where they should be.

Aliens have nothing to do with this and you owe us...er, I mean them (yeah that's what I meant), an apology.  :)

I am so dumb! Still dont get the onedrive biz, it just automatically gives me that after I choose where it goes :( Winrar is also confusing. Let me just go live under my rock again lol. Thank you, I'll try to take it out of there. (Builds an offering to the Aliens for forgiveness)
