Pregnancy retuner setting

No one knows everything this mod can do. Did you know you can tune the size of your sims nostrils with this mod? I'm kidding.

Pregnancy retuner setting

Post by kkaizer » October 16th, 2018, 3:06 pm

So i recently started to playing sunset valley and I wanted to import settings I used from the previous world so I did. Then I realized there are two pregnant sims in the very beginning of sunset valley and I imported altered pregnancy retuner setting... I know I had to end their pregnancy before I change the setting.

I did a lot of stuff on this world already and I don’t wanna restart sunset valley. Maybe I can terminate their prenancies and make them pregnant again but is there any other way? Would pause their pregnancies and resume will solve the problem by using MC?

I'm not sure what the problem should be. What exactly did you changed in the Retuner tuning?

But you can use Debugenbler instead:
Click on the pregnant sim
2. Select: NRaas > DebugEnabler > Options: Smart Phone > Pregnancy > Have Baby
3. Enter the amount of hours you wish the pregnancy to be
Note 1: The default total number of hours for a pregnancy is 72
Note 2: If you set the hours to the total amount (either the default or a tuned value), your sim will have the baby immediately

The problem is that if you change the pregnancy length or milestone settings on a world where sims are already pregnant, those sims in particular stand a pretty good chance of never giving birth and having the pregnancy last forever. Forcing the births to happen right away with DE or by using CmarNYC's Pregnancy Controller mod, or terminating the pregnancies with MC, would all be good ways to go about fixing things.

Oh so I can force them to give birth right away with DE? That could be my ideal solution i think!! :) Just out of curiosity, you said there’s a pretty good chance, does that mean it does not always like that? Will there be still a chance that they will be alright?

I suppose so. To be fair though, we don't get too many reports from players that something went reasonably well when they thought it might not, at least not so specifically.  More typically, we hear about it when things break.

I've never changed pregnancy settings while sims in my world are already pregnant, at least not intentionally, so can't really say what exactly triggers the issue and am just going by reports of many other players who have done this.

At least I can tell that the DE option to have baby immediately works pretty well.
Make a backup of your save game folder and try it.
