CAS only showing one option (not 3) for outfits

Post by MoMoll » October 15th, 2018, 7:16 am

Haven"t played my game in over 6 months. But, went into CAS to add outfits for each category, but there is no option to add extra clothing.

For example, I choose 2 types of atheletic, one with running shoes for jogging and a barefoot outfit for yoga. However, the plus button to add an extra outfit is missing.

Do I have to put in dresser?

Thanks for any thoughts on what is wrong.

Hi Momoll, I think the more outfits are only available in Stylist?

Howdy MoMoll nice to see you.
Once you have the outfits in Stylist you can click on your Sim to bring up an option to select the outfit without having to go into CAS.  I have that function on a Hot Key so not sure of where the option is. I am not in game atm but will check that out shortly or perhaps someone else in here can provide the path to access it.

None of my CAS options have ever had that plus button to add more outfits to each catagory missing with only one outfit available and you might be missing MC intergration which I've always been careful to make sure all modules I need are installed now after I missed some once and it almost wrecked my legacies.

The Outfit option is in Master Controller>Basic>Outfit.  If you set up a Hot Key you will be able to access all the outfies just by clicking on the Sim.

To set up a Hot Key Master Controller>Settings>Hot Keys>Sim>Basic>Outfit

You might need to reload the game for the option to show when clicking on your sim.

always thought it was general and not stylist. See what happens when you don't play for over 6 months.

I don't remember using stylist before. Will try it out.

Thanks everyone.

If you are ever wondering if you are in EA's version of CAS or one of its subsets (like Plan Outfit) rather than MasterController's as intended, an easy way to check is to right-click on the "..." button in the lower left corner where one usually goes to reach game options and save as, quit, etc. If in MC's version, a window with MC options will pop up. If in EA's version, nothing will happen.

If MC Integration is in place, one should always get MC's version of these things unless one has just started up the game and the game clock has not yet moved forward so the mods have not fully loaded yet -- such as one might see by jumping right into CAH before actually playing.
