Romance Issue

Post by faerytech » October 8th, 2018, 3:05 pm

So, my sim is in a full romantic relationship with another sim, yet every time she (a flirt) performs a flirty interaction, it will briefly state "X sim thinks (my sim) is being flirty" then quickly revert to "X sim thinks (my sim) is okay" and she keeps getting rejected for a first kiss. The relationship bar is full, they're attracted to each other, etc. I'm only using NRAAS mods. Several of them, including wooher, relativity, master controller, etc. I'm not sure why this is happening, since I've never had this issue before.

I'm updated to 1.67 but when I start the game it says that my mods are not compatible with my update. Although all the mods downloaded say they are compatible with 1.67

Romance Issue

It can often take a lot of uninterrupted Romantic (flirty) interactions before two sims can smoothly pass through Sim A thinks Sim B is okay, being flirty, alluring, and finally irresistible. There are lot of ingredients that go into the calculation, but it helps if the sims know each other well (do they know more than one of each other's traits yet?), have a friendly relationship score of at least Friends (40 or higher but you've got that), are in good moods (not tired, dirty, hungry, bladders full), and of course they need to find each other attractive (one could be the "wrong" age or gender).

The string of romantic  interactions must be unbroken to stay on flirty or proceed to alluring -- irresistible isn't necessary for a first kiss. No interruptions with social (funny, mean) interactions, no answering the phone or getting sidetracked byh other stuffl. Have they been on successful dates yet? Some sims take longer to warm up to romantic interactions than others. Is it possible that one of the sims is in a relationship with someone else or has a poor reputation?

Some of the things that can help cut through the barriers near the beginning of such relationships are flirt friendly traits and LTRs, the sims both having high hygiene (freshly showered, teeth brushed, gussied up), one or both of them being rich or famous (these are more difficult to manage of course). Romantic drinks (LN), cinnamon (Uni), and elixirs (SN) can also help but they shouldn't be entirely necessary unless your sims are trying to kiss everyone in the room that day (probably not). As a relationship progresses, these things usually become much easier and partnered sims should be able to walk right over to their significant other and kiss them. Some effort may still be needed to get them to do other things.

On the mod version question, the only mods that can throw the version mismatch at startup are Core Mods, and there are only six TS3 Core Mods in popular usage. ErrorTrap happens to be one of them, you must have the 1.67 version (not 1.69) for that one and it must the Steam or the Disc/Origin version of 1.67 to match your install type. All three versions are available on our site here.

The other Core Mods are:
NRaas UntranslatedKey (really only for developers)
CMarNYC's XCAS (different versions are available for the different patch levels)
Consort's 2X Weight/Fitness (different versions are available but there is no Steam version)
Gamefreak 130's Startup Screen Overhaul (different versions are available)
AwesomeMod (the current version should auto-detect 1.67/69)

But as you only have NRaas mods, it doesn't sound like these could be the cause. The other mods are not capable of throwing the core version mismatch error.
