Why Dresser does the thing

Post by orose90 » October 1st, 2018, 1:06 pm

So don't get me wrong, I wouldn't load up the game without having Dresser in it, if only for the fact that there's a lot of clothing fails in this game omg. But I would like to know why it immediately upon loading a new game says 'hey, you know what this town needs? clown makeup!' I don't use it for rerolling new outfits for everybody so much as I used it to quickly remove clothing/accesories I've blacklisted without having to individually pull each sim into CAS, but on the flip side, I have to remember to turn the automatic checks off with every new save I start before sims randomly end up with all manner of frightening makeovers.

So two questions:
1- How could I tune Dresser so it the automatic rolling of makeups/accessories/clothing is set by off to default, and so that it stops ignoring the ValidForRandom flag?
2- Why it do that thing? xD

Edit: Also, this new site is slick. Nice work you guys! Is there someplace we can donate to help with server costs, etc? As many times as NRaas has saved my game, I'm pretty sure I owe y'all at least a six pack :D

I believe what you require is a tuning file for Dresser that manages its defaults when new games are started. However, the mod's default tuning file (most of them have one) and documentation have not yet landed here on the new site so unless others have a different suggestion we would have to wait for things to catch up over here.

No worries, I can wait. If I get too antsy I'll open up the tuning file and see if I can figure it out in a clean save just in case I toggle the blow up the engines tuning :)
