Teen woohooer not woohooing

Post by oobobbi » September 30th, 2015, 9:34 am

Ok, sooo.. I have not yet, since I first bought sims 3 and installed the nraas mods, been able to get any of my teens to woohoo, despite that I always enable everything in woohooer ... allow teen woohoo, allow teen adult .. etc. All of those basic settings I set every time. Still they won't. Mousing over a bed does not even have any romantic options.. they can only relax or sleep.

I did get the nraas sleep mod, and after I installed the mod I put in new beds, didn't matter.

So then, I went ahead and enabled debugging to try to see if I could find out what the heck is the problem... clicked on the potential partner sim and kept getting the messages that [caste does not allow flirts]

Messed around with some of the caste settings and I think I got stuff really out of whack and wound up resetting the entire thing. While in debug mode, I noticed I started getting pop up window messages from all over town, it seemed like most, if not all sims were having difficulties also, the same message for all the sims around town... caste does not allow flirts.

Where to go from here?

Resetting the mod through debugging will basically place the mod back to its initial point that's untouched by the Coder's own placed settings, that includes the default Caste setup.

It is usually unwise to try to fiddle with the SP Caste system and then hit the reset button in debugging when your Town is already progressed for several weeks.

Safest way to fiddle with current active settings is:
1. Start a new game (experiment in here)
2. If you have already settings saved, you can then import those settings within this new game (SP> General Options> Export & Import Settings
3. Then fiddle with the settings and test it. If it's to your liking then export the settings under a different name. Exit game to main menu
4. Load up your Usual town your playing, then when the game is loaded, CityHall> NRaas> SP> General> Import Settings.

To fix your current issue, not sure if you have saved the SP Settings already, is to load up a new game, export the settings (SP> General> Export Settings), exit, load your current saved game and import those settings within the game. Everything should be on its "right" defaults with Coders input.

For activating Teen Romantic Relationships with Teen and beyond follow these steps:
1. Click on CityHall> NRaas> SP> Caste Options
2. Pick Caste Teenager, and follow these steps:

Click on: (Reset To Defaults)

Select: Flirt: Disallow Caste, Pregnancy: Allow Participation, Pregnancy: Disallow Participation Caste , Romance Allow Marriage

Click on everything that says "Disabled" in the next menu's that will pop up and then press Accept (unless, you don't want to allow Teen-Elder relationships)

Press Dismiss or Accept button to go back to the Caste Name listing

3. Pick Caste YoungAdult

Click on: (Reset To Defaults)

Select: Flirt: Disallow Caste, Pregnancy: Disallow Participation Caste

No menu will pop up as it only contains restrictions to the Teenager Caste.

Press Dismiss or Accept button to go back to the Caste Name listing

4. Repeat action 3 on the other AgeGroups that you want to enable

That's basically should work, though I could have missed something while typing. Try it on a new game and test it with a teen couple or teen-ya couple and see if now the interactions are working as you want them to be. When confirmed, export the settings and exit the test game, now open up your original game and import those settings.

Also, always make backups of your saved game, using the Save As... game options, this will force you to make a new SavedGame name. When something goes wrong you can then load up an older save, you will have lost some progress between those Saves, but it's better than starting a whole new game over again when you use Saves that overwrite the file with the changes you made, which are basically hard to recover from.

Yaay, the teen woohoo is now woohooing! And she is getting grounded for it too! I grounded my teen for being promiscuous and rebellious. What's weird now though is that, even though the grounding time is done... she is still sneaking around the house like a burglar... looks to be caught in an animation that won't end. Also, autonomously, my Mom sim tried to punish her for leaving the house to go to school before the grounding was over.

But yes, the woohooer is woohooing now with those changes to caste system, mentioned above. I wonder if others have had difficulties in realizing those settings. Should be a walk through page of all those steps involved in setting up woohooer for teen woohooing, easily findable right on the woohooer mod page.

Thanks again!! :)

It is on the board, but since its SP what is stopping it due to the Rule Settings of Caste, its in the SP FAQ.

I do remember, having informed you in that other thread of yours, about the 2 suggestions on unlocking the feature if you have SP and Woohooer installed ^.^ But guess you missed it entirely.

As for the location here it is here StoryProgression FAQ Caste, just read through it to the bottom you'll see notes how to enable Teen flirts and on the same page how to enable pregnancies for Teens.

Other method is just to simply set Link To StoryProgression on False in Woohooer> General.

Though you are welcome, glad I could help ;-)

No worries :P I forget sometimes putting on my glasses when I need to read something. Then looking for my glasses can be a pain, as most of the time I have it laying on my hair @_@
