Fiances not interacting

Post by franticsloth » March 6th, 2017, 5:07 pm

Hi! Thank you so much for providing such awesome mod support. :)

I'm playing through a religious fundamentalist Sim family aaaand the heir can't interact with his fiance. They just moved to a new town, but evicting/reinstating didn't fix the issue. It comes up as a script error in Woohooer, but when I uninstall Woohooer, they still can't interact with each other. All other Sims and pets, yes. (I uploaded the log file thing.)

Hi there, and welcome to NRaas.

Hmm. The error uploaded to me looks like it's coming from the supposed to be unavailable greyed out Woohooer commands that should build on the Romance menu with tooltips explaining why the actions are blocked from user control -- for example, you can't walk up to a complete stranger and right off Try for Baby or Propose Marriage (at least not usually) and the "missing" actions should all show up with tooltip explanations. But this only happens when we have Woohooer's debugging utility on.
NRaas > Whoohooer > General > Debugging (default is False).

Though not all of error lines are complaining about Romantic interactions, some like Apologize are only Social so hence my puzzlement.

With Woohooer's Debugging switched off, your sims cannot interact with each other at all, or is it just Romantic interactions that fail or fail to show? Have you tried emptying out both of their personal inventories? There are a few items, besides simply being overloaded, that can cause this to happen due to various game bugs -- special seeds, any jams or preserved foods produced from the Canning Station store set item, for example.

Do you have any non-NRaas mods in play? They wouldn't all show up on a script log like that. If so, you might want to try a test run with those removed and the scriptCache.package file from your TS3 user game folder in Documents cleared (in fact, you should try to clear this file anyway but especially when mods are added or removed from Mods\Packages if you aren't already doing that).

And (not sure why I saved the simplest thing for last), have you tried MC Resets on the two sims and their household?

Ohh...you've posted before but I guess a very long time ago. Okay, welcome back to NRaas then. :)

Ah dang, just a general game bug. Evicting her, cloning her and sending the clone back worked. Interesting that Woohooer picked it up though. Thanks anyway!
