Sims want to autonomously woo hoo but can't!

Post by dizzieup » September 10th, 2015, 2:03 pm

After flirting for a bit on their own or what have you, specifically two adult sims in a relationship keep having the "woohoo!" interaction picture/interaction appear in the left upper corner but it stays on for about a half a second until it disappears and they just stand there. It happens about maybe five more times before they give up and move to do something else. I feel bad because it works with other sims in relationships in other households.

Something to note. When I load up sims 3 every time it never recognizes the sims SCORING package only woohooer and kamasimtra. So it only states it found those two scripts.

I have tried removing those packages out of the folder. Load game. Saving that game without those 3 mods. Quitting /Exiting. Put the 3 packages back. Reload game. Enter the household. Delete the old bed just to test, added a new double bed and noticed it worked then! But shortly after that they couldn't. They woohooed twice on their own however.

It might have something to do with that stupid piano serenade problem that made me have to delete it using a cheat that threw them off whack again. I don't know.

It's so frustrating because I can't figure out exactly why it's just THOSE two.

If it makes any difference to why they are glitching like that, they had a relationship with each other when one was a teen and one was an adult and the other one finally grew up. They became partners while in the teen-adult romance. Does that have anything to do with why they are so glitched to successfully autonomously woohoo without dropping the interaction?

UGH! Any help would be appreciated! :(

Hi there, and welcome to NRaas.

That does sound frustrating, probably just as much for your two sims as for you. :)

The Scoring module of Woohooer is a tuning package. That one wouldn't show up on the pop-up list of installed script mods because it is not itself a script mod; doesn't mean it's not loading. Also, that list is unreliable. Many of us have more script mods than can possibly appear on that pop-up list, it just truncates after a while, but that doesn't stop other things from loading either.

It sounds to me like the issue is more likely routing on their home lot. To test this, how about in a copy of your game, not meant to be played forward, you move these two to a new house and see if they make it from hey let's do this actually into a woohoo location like a bed more successfully.

Back on the original home lot, if you have or are willing to add MasterController and its Cheats module, check for invisible objects that your sims might be able to walk around if you direct them but could be having trouble with if routing on their own. On the ground of the lot or its map tag, NRaas > MC > Object Stats > Non-Inventory, look for any items with "jig" in its name, and select to Flush. Be careful not to flush anything really important, like your sims themselves or their plumbobs.

Hello and thank you :)

Unfortunately they are still unable to go through with the Woohoo even when I moved them to another home. The same thing happens again. Even in other people's homes or lots with beds. Everyone else can autonomously do it except these sims!

They can woohoo if I command them just fine. I had recently discovered they can woohoo on their own in a photo booth but not beds!

Thank you so much for clarifying the sims scoring package to me as to why it doesn't show up! I was worried.

I will try the MasterController perhaps now lol.

Do you think renaming the sims 3 folder and making the game start fresh might help?

Hmm. I can understand two sims being blocked from woohooing for dozens of unintended reasons but that's clearly not the case here. Especially since the action does appear in their queue briefly with no assistance from you before disappearing. And it's of course not a critical block because they will woohoo if you direct them to.

And it's apparently not lot related as I suspected. Since you were thinking of adding MC anyway, the next thing I would suggest would be MC resetting these two sims. (NRaas > MC > (Sim) > Advanced > Reset Sim.

Certainly the clean game folder thing is worth a try if their lack of autonomous woohoo is bothering you that much. But you will need to set up your mods framework again and give the new folder any really important content that the original one has in order for your saved game to work well there.

Personally, I would probably just play forward after a MC reset. But I don't mind micro-managing my sims and issuing commands for just about every little thing generally anyway. Others have different play styles and do rely on the Free Will verison of events more.

Thank you so much for your help!!

I discovered for them specifically they needed to have "foreplay" false. They were spazzing out because there was something wrong with them but using MC like you said to reset them it got them both back to foreplay before woo hoo! Lol. I like to switch households a lot so it's nice sometimes to see the sims having fun as npcs while studying another fam. I know everyone has different styles :)

That means you are a Peeping Tom (or Tammy) who likes to spy on their unsuspecting, shy sims when they least suspect it.

Nah, just kidding. Glad you got that worked out! :)
