Winter Clothes Temp

No one knows everything this mod can do. Did you know you can tune the size of your sims nostrils with this mod? I'm kidding.

Winter Clothes Temp

Post by silveryrow » February 23rd, 2017, 7:50 am

Retuner is overwhelming.

I just want my Sims to change into outerwear at a warmer temperature than currently. The only option I've found is kMinTemperatureWhenWearingWinterClothes, which is in Farenheit. I can look up a conversion online, but would be easier if it could recognize that I use Celsius. But my main point is, I need a maximum temp option, not a minimum. "This temp and below prompts change into Outerwear", you know. Please tell me if I'm missing something.

Aha! Found it, never mind. Although I do find the explanation of how to use to mod difficult to understand.

Retuner only shows how it is the XML which is in Farneheit the game uses a different method to convert it to Celsius

@silveryrow: I believe you're looking in the wrong place. I've answered this question in your other thread here: Post-uninstall issue but I'll repost the information again to keep everything together.

The option you're looking for is in:
General > By Tunable XML > Sims3.Gameplay.Actors > Sim > kTemperatureToSwitchOutOfOuterwear
and
General > By Tunable XML > Sims3.Gameplay.Actors > Sim > kTemperatureToSwitchToOuterwear
Those are the values you need to change.

Now, having read the above, I understand you're looking at this:-
General > By Tunable XML > Sims3.Gameplay.ActorsSystems > Sim Temperature > kMinTemperatureWhenWearingWinterClothes
That's not the right path.

As I understand it, Americans always work in degrees Fahrenheit. 'The Sims 3' is an American game so you're not going to see them use degrees Celcius. :-)

Yes, thanks, I managed to find it in the end!

Since the game - mercifully - allows you to switch to Celsius, I thought maybe it would be the case within the game tweaks, but all sorted now :)
