Firefighting equipment

No one knows everything this mod can do. Did you know you can tune the size of your sims nostrils with this mod? I'm kidding.

Firefighting equipment

Post by guinevak » December 7th, 2016, 3:43 pm

So I'm playing this firefighter and it's annoying me, because - among other things - the fire truck and alarm have Zero Chill. (Insert your own fire pun.) Maintenance doesn't work worth a darn; I've had her maintain both up to top condition before going home, only to come in and find them at 0% the next morning. I've had her working on the alarm and filling the green bar right up, only for it to reset to 0% WHILE SHE WAS STILL MAINTAINING IT. She keeps rolling wishes to upgrade the stuff, but she can't do that when it's at 0%, which is basically all the time.

So my intuition is that this is a thing Retuner could fix, but I'm not savvy enough to figure out how. Any suggestions?

Silly question I suppose, but I haven't played that career in a long time. How is her Handiness skill?

It's at 7 or 8.

Sounds like SP's Allow Inactive to Maintain Firefighter Equipment feature. Disable that option.

...huh. Okay, so now I'm curious; why does allowing *more* sims to maintain the thing result in its being *less* maintained?

Because if it didn't reset to 0 there'd be nothing for them to maintain.

That... is both logical and totally counterintuitive. XD

Okay, thanks!
