Disable autonomous Go To Work

No one knows everything this mod can do. Did you know you can tune the size of your sims nostrils with this mod? I'm kidding.

Disable autonomous Go To Work

Post by PodRED » March 1st, 2015, 1:34 pm

I've been trying to find the XML tuning to turn autonomy off for the Go To Work interation as I find that my Sim in the Medical career keeps getting asked to go back to work when she is off doing career-related vaccinations etc. but I've struggled to find it.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

If I remembered it correctly, you do have StoryProgression, correct?

If so, within CityHall / Computer> NRaas> StoryProgression> Town Options> there is an interaction that pushes Sims to go to work "Push: Allow To Work". Setting this on True will let SP know to check if every Sim that should be at work are not wandering in town doing shopping and pushes Sims to go to their job. You would want to set that on False (with the Risk of getting notifications that Sim X isn't at work).

An alternative method would be to set it only in your Caste "Active Family" on False (CityHall> NRaas> SP> Caste Options) and will only count for your Active while the inactive in your Town are pushed to go to their work, courtesy of SP ;-)

If you don't have our NRaas SP, then you might have something else in your Setup that pushes Sim to go to work. Regardless of them having to do choirs outside.

Ah... I foolishly thought this was in Retuner rather than checking in SP! I should've realised that it is a push and checked there first! Will this also affect school pushes just out of interest?

Thanks!

Hm, no dice.

Oddly, I've just checked and this setting is already set to False in the Active Family Caste and clicking on the sim in question reveals she has inherited that setting as it is (False) in brackets.

Any idea why I would still be pushed to work in that case? Anything else I should be checking.

I'm not using any non-NRaas mods that would affect careers or pushes...

Can you click on your Sim> NRaas> SP> Sim Options> and check what its set on "Push: Allow To Work", if the Caste "Active Family" is set on False, it should seep into the Sim Options of that Sim.

If its set on True, then you probably have conflicting Caste's that also covers your Sim, where that interaction is also used. Elevate Caste Active Family to a higher Caste: Priority> (set it too 99 to test).

I've already done that - checking on the sim's own settings show it as "(False)" indicating that she has inherited the false setting, and yet pushes are still occuring.

Are you playing in the RabbitHole or did you create your own Open Workplace with Zerbu Ulimate Careers mod?

In fact, every sim in the family has Push : Allow To Work set to "(False) if I check Sim> NRaas> SP> Sim Options and yet they are all still being pushed to work.

I have no idea what else could be causing the pushes to happen.

Standard EA Rabbitholes all round.

I really appreciate your help, by the way, thanks for taking the time.
