Custom Career Error

Post by t888 » May 31st, 2016, 7:18 pm

I've uploaded an error that occurred when I was testing out a new custom career. Its an error for something wrong with my custom career, I'd appreciate some insight to what it means.
The world calls for graphics/art work, and I answer. So, can I count on you to call me up for service?

When you open the ScriptError in Notepad, read it carefully, cause it does indicate what is wrong and where you will need to look. It says either in one of your files 67566431025772.dll or ZFT.Careers (think the latter cause for it being an _XML, if both are _XML's look in both) within your Custom Career, the Careers mod is complaining about

System.Xml.XmlException: 'Element' is an invalid node type. Line 69, position 6., which means either somewhere near that line you filled in the wrong Node name (anything between <{NodeName}> .......... </{NodeName}> or you didn't fill the Nodename correctly as it is case sensitive or the enclosure of such NodeName is incomplete, missing < or > or /. Check your mod.

Also it might be helpful to use a texteditor that shows which lines you are on in the document and which position. I and many more use NotePad++ (enhanced version of Windows Notepad). If you don't have it, get it :-)
