Careers giving script errors suddenly

Post by OneCrazedAnarchist » March 16th, 2018, 5:10 pm

When I load my Hidden Springs save, I keep getting script errors which is causing my sims time off to become 37 days and 7 hours, instead of the 4 or 5 they would get because they're newlyweds. I don't know what's happening to fix it myself since I don't know how I would search for it.

All script errors uploaded.

The errors that were uploaded are being thrown on two sims, Dustin Dahl and Aimee Rosales, who are not employed in this world. I take it this is not the happy couple. Looks to me like they are tourists from Uni World, if so perhaps using <a class="wiki_link" href="/Register">Register</a> will sort that out or give you options to temporarily stop tourism at least. Or did you have a reason for not running it?

Not sure why that would give your sims all that extra time off. If you adjust that back to 5 sim days with MC Cheats, does it not stay that way?

I haven't tried using MC. I completely forgot that I could do that. And yes, the two sims throwing up the errors are guests from University. Also, I'll try using Register and see what happens.

Okay, I was able to fix the time off with MC. But I have a question: since I have Overwatch set to "run out' any homeless sims, what exactly would Register do? I did look at the page and I'm still a little confused as to how it would help exactly.

Tourists are not homeless, they are a different class of sims.

Register controls Role and to an extent Service Sims. Tourists fall in between there someplace, but are really kind of like Global Role Sims so that mod was given the job of Tourist Control.

NRaas > Register > Allow Tourists > False (temporarily if you want)
NRaas > Register > Chance of Leaving > 100

Those two settings should send all tourists back to their homeworlds pretty quickly, within the next sim day anyway.

I can't imagine playing without Register for other reasons, Role Sims in particular go haywire on me otherwise. They don't show up to work, stay at their assigned stations, or they keep getting replaced with more homeless NPCs that my world doesn't need.

I didn't know that. I'll look at the settings and see what I can do with it. Thank you.
