What does this script error mean?

Post by AngieMF77 » August 1st, 2017, 8:40 am

I'm trying to have a none-active daycare sim living on a community lot to be the daycare where inactive kids are sent when their parents leave home. I have the Go Here settings I think set how they should be and I think the game keeps trying to send kids to the community daycare lot with the daycare worker living there, but I keep getting a script error on load up that says:
Nraas.GoHere
Script Error
(OneShotFunctionTask) Function
Method: Void OnPerform(). Declaring Type:
GoHereSpace.Helpers.Caregivers.MonitorHelper+TestHomeTask

So does this mean it is struggling to let the system work with a Community Lot? I also get a script error for the infant Sim it is trying to send.
Is there a workaround or do I need to have the settings differently; what should the settings look like if my gameplay style IS do-able?

I think the open question here is, on a test run with your settings the same, can you get inactive Day Care to work properly on a residential lot?

By the way, if the commercial lot happens to be the Child Prodigy Center from the EA Store set, fuhgetabouttit. Many of us have tried to make that one work as an inactive daycare center because although a bit over the top it looks nice but no matter what we do with that lot, it fails miserably. There is something really odd about the design of that lot from the beginning that resists it being used that way, apparently even as a residential if I remember correctly.

I don't think I've ever tried a different commercial lot in the way you have described, though.

I can confirm that IT WAS that stupid EA lot that caused the problem. I built my own nursery, had it as Visitors Allowed, added Sim to Community Lot with MC then added Arsil's Generic Role markers for extra nursery workers. AND IT ALL WORKS FINE!! Brats now appear at the nursery when their parents abandon them for the day.
Thanks for the help!

Glad to hear it was just the store lot. You followed in the path many of us did when we ran into the same issues with it then, only much longer ago. :)
