Door lock - sims trapped inside

Post by Epica0 » January 29th, 2017, 6:43 am

Hello! Sorry if this has already been addressed, but I haven't found it anywhere. So I've been testing the mod a bit and I've encountered a problem. When I set the opening times of a door, sims that are still inside of a room get trapped and cannot get out as soon as the door gets locked.. is there a way to automatically push them to go home shortly before the door closes? Hope you know what I mean :)

What many of us are doing while figuring out how best to use these great new door features is, where it's feasible, putting in at least two one way doors so that the door out is always available (and free, if charges are involved) while the door in can be more restrictive. Assuming this makes sense for the room or building in question.

But another thing many of us have found is that if we put two opposite way doors right next to each other, sims seem to not understand which one they are supposed to use and may route fail if they try to use the wrong one. Not sure about rooms, but for buildings I've been trying to put the entrances and exits on opposite ends or different sides of the building, again where it makes sense to do so.

Aah, that's a good idea. I'll try that, thanks!
