Unhandled errors while moving to University

Post by InsanityPrelude » July 19th, 2017, 11:51 am

Good morning,

I found this script error file (http://nraas.wikispaces.com/file/detail ... errors.zip) after sending some Sims to university. Lots of unhandled references to academic stuff. This is my first time using a custom university world (Pinewood Academy from MTS), could that be why? Is my game going to explode into a BFBVFS if I continue? It seems fine so far, other than the new student orientation event not firing since I don't have Careers installed.

Hi there. Afraid I don't have any experience with custom Uni World replacements so I can't say if that long list of odd Derefs is typical or to be expected. Hopefully others who have gone down this road can answer that better. But I guess the question becomes, are the sims who are supposed to be registered for classes under the various majors actually get to go to class and progress properly or not, when the time comes.

I do have to ask though, why you would be running without the Careers base mod when you seem to have embraced most of the usual performance fixing and enhancing mods along the way.

And sorry, but we don't support the BFBVFS here. That's from one of our "friendly competitors." :)

Since I haven't used any custom careers and just don't have *room* in my neighborhoods for homeworld universities, I didn't think Careers would do anything for me?

It just means ErrorTrap doesn't know how to handle that data. It's nothing serious.
