C_R, my Sims3 shows that it's still running 1.67.2.024001 and the 'Game Updates' tab in launcher shows, "Your game is up to date." Where would I get v1.69(via Super Patcher maybe?) and do we know what's new/fixed in 1.69?
edit- Upon further readings in Chatterbox, I've read that if you install the Base Game via Origin, than you'll have v1.69 and you'll lose the Launcher. Anything else I may need to know? Thanks in advance.

Patch 1.69 is being delivered by Origin and for Windows users of Origin only. There is no Launcher based or independent download/super patcher for this one. It's the first TS3 game patch that EA has delivered this way.
The patch offers no (intended) changes to gameplay. It's one new feature, besides the side-effects and being locked to Origin/Launcher for startups, is an EP/SP picker that allows you to choose which EPs/SPs you want to load upon starting the game. While an interesting idea for starting a new game (though there is a mod out there that did this already), making the "wrong" choices could break an ongoing game that is already using content and worlds from some of the EPs.
Reportedly, it also breaks CAW and CCMagic along the way.
We are recommending that players stay on 1.67. For those who have already patched up and can't go back or are just (re)installing digitally now and have no choice, there is a beta testing version of ErrorTrap available so as to avoid the core mod mismatch error message. The only other mods from this site that are affected are UntranslatedKey and NoCD. The rest are just fine as is.
