Аutomatic fix

Post by Sara_Darkees » August 8th, 2018, 11:56 am

Hello there. I have two problems. They are following. Of course, I can use MC, but fixing it every time is very annoying. First at all, I know what MC can bring back missing sims, including todlers. However, ghosts-todlers and ghost-babies are somehow not included in this option. I return them to the family every time, and they, little bastards, don't want to grow up. Secondly, I'm irritate about the thin sims that get fat when they go in for sports. Why couldn't the developers write the code properly? The value of their weight always tends to be greater than the minimum parameter. What is nonsense? You swim, you get fat like after three hotdogs. You run, you get fat too. Maybe someone has ideas how to make life easier for themselves?

Hmm. My sims don't get fat when they exercise, they increase in Fitness. Perhaps too much sometimes, and perhaps they don't stop increasing after the exercising or swimming is over within the same game session (this indeed is a known glitch), but are you by any chance using one or more mods from other parties that are interfering with exercise and weight gain in an unwanted way?

On the ghosts, afraid I'm having a bit of trouble following that. Where you said MC recovers missing sims, are you sure you didn't mean Overwatch? And, if you are using StoryProgression, do you have ghosts set to be aging (not sure how this works actually as I've never had playable ghosts in my game so perhaps it might be better for others to comment here).

Oh, trust me... It's not critical, but they get fat. this is noticeable only when sims have minimal weight parameters. Of course, I understand that it's normal for them to become more muscular. But they're getting fatter. And it is noticeable not only from my point of view. The numerical value of the weight also changes. This can even be seen thanks to the MC options.
I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what mod you're talking about? heard about mod by champslessims from modthesims, but it doesn't suit me.
I don't use StoryProgression. The developers have created a Ghost family in advance. They can live and grow up as ordinary sims. But when babies and little ones go missing, they can't grow up. Although I've probably seen worse. The day counter for baby-sims was less than zero.

Oh yeah. I probably meant Overwatch. It brings back the prodigal Sims. Almost always...

Hi iIgazor
igazor, as you asked for others to comment here, this is what I have noticed, and I am not saying this is caused by mods, but there seems to be a problem with ghosts, babies, pregnant female ghosts etc A while ago I was playing Moonlight Falls and a ghost sim (the one who lives with the vampire and werewolf) married the fairy that lives with the vegeterian vampire (does anyone think I'm bad with names? surely no), well she got pregnant, and when she was supposed to give birth, she vanished. No baby, no ghost. They were not my active family. I don't really like to play ghosts, however I do make sure I find a nice home for Sims that get together and if they are having babies I put a crib and spare beds etc before I move them to their new home ( I am a control freak) so after a few days I checked on them and he was on his own, baby and mother were nowhere to be seen and despite the search I conducted sending my sims to check the mausoleum for urns, and checking every household just in case they were misplaced, nothing, they had quite simply gone. I can not remember if they were in the family tree of the father fairy but I don't think so. I gave up in the end, they were gone!
I suspect that it was when she was supposed to have the baby that it happened, fairy and ghost conflicting? This was a time I took notice of it but there have been other times when ghosts have gone missing. Perhaps a glitch. I have another save, a later one in which one of the Goth ghosts has had a baby with a human and the baby is fine, I followed that mother to be to the end making sure she was fine, the now toddler is a bluish in colour human and I have given her friends, made sure she is known by others etc for I read somewhere that this way the game seems to make babies and toddlers less likely to dissapear, but as I play with NRaas SP it should not make any difference, but just in case.

Talking of glitches and weight gaining, when a male sim is abducted by an alien and has an alien baby the thumbnail of said sim remains in a "fat state" it does not go back to the way your sim used to appear before unsuspected weight gain.

OmairadelAvila, I apologize for the late reply but I think I know where they are. I return ghost-babies their family every night, but they disappear again. You can find them using Master Controller. Use it by clicking on the house where they lived. Click "add sim". Set the filter "Type of Sim> Dead". They'll probably be on that list. They're not in the mausoleum because they still keep their graves to themselves. But they'll never grow up if you don't control them. Before growing up Sims are included in the category of "non resident" (sorry, but there may be difficulties in translation, because I have Russian localization). But the ghosts do not return from there, as it must be. It would be nice if this option was finalized. The problem is that the game does not consider ghosts as normal sims. As for the weight change, this problem has existed since the very beginning of the game.

Hi Sara-Darkees Thank you for the tip on returning ghost babies, I will try it and hopefully find the mum too, now I just hope the daddy has not remarried ( you know how fast they are at finding a "replacement").

If I remember correctly GoHere has code to prevent that happening with ghost sims

Must Install GoHere, I only have 8 Mods installed, and for what I'm reading I must get a few more!
