"Nraas_Common_MenuOnlyOnTesting " Link broken?

Post by randomninja19 » August 5th, 2018, 3:41 am

I tried to download the "Nraas_Common_MenuOnlyOnTesting" from the ErrorTrap+Tuning page, but the page was not found. I searched googled and found this is not the only time the page has acted up....will it always stay like this? Or is there some alternative download link? Please and Thankyou!

Thanks for the report. Wish I knew why that small file keeps disappearing on us, and right now the wiki won't let me upload a replacement either (my colleagues are welcome to try). Here is an alternate download link for now.

And no, it won't "always" stay like this. In case you haven't noticed, we aren't going to be on Wikispaces much longer. It is not our intent to replicate the general flakiness of this platform on what will be our new home this fall. :)

Having said the above, I see that there was some question if this tuning file actually still works. Am not able to test right now, if you could perhaps let us know if it actually has the desired impact on the current version of ErrorTrap (v100)?

Okay, I tested the tuning mod and based on my exhaustive (30 seconds worth of) tests I would have to say that at least for ErrorTrap v100 it does what it says on the tin. So we can disregard my above question about whether it still works, that must be something Chain fixed for us within ErrorTrap itself long ago.

Did not realize how wildly popular this feature is. I've hundreds of thousands of downloads of that little file from my Mediafire since yesterday. Okay, I've had 4, but that's still 3 more than I was expecting to see. I've fixed the wiki page though so the file is available there once more.

For Chain: Since the wiki has kept having heartburn over this file, I gave the zip a new name by sticking a "2" on the end in order to make the download work. It's the same file, though. For the new site it probably doesn't matter either way.

I've put that back at least 5 times. It's so odd the wiki keeps eating that one file. No idea why.

Each file uploaded to the wiki I believe has an internal ID number associated with it. If we could extract the ID from the broken one that really isn't there anymore, we might find the next winning Powerball lottery numbers in there someplace. :)
