This is just a random sappy note to say how much I appreciate this forum and the Sims 3 modding community.

In the last year I've been cheating on Sims 3 with Minecraft. Despite being very different, they're both sandbox games with an expansive modding community, so it was easy to fall in.

But the Sims 3 modding community is more mature, more accessible to beginners, and more kind. (Not the whole player community, mind you; there's a reason I don't hang out much on the official forums.)

You guys rock.

I would've stopped playing TS3 a long time ago if these Mods had not been available to fix the issues that were ruining my saves.

I don't think it's possible to play Sims 3 in any in-depth way without Overwatch and ErrorTrap. I used to roam the Sims blogs offering tech support, and I often came down to that one thing -- it would be completely reasonable to think you are keeping your game stable by not adding mods, but the truth is you can't have a stable game without those two mods. Everything else is gravy (good gravy!) but those are necessary.

And to think it was SleepFreedom of all things that brought me here originally. Although I already knew about OW and ET and had those as well as MC standing by and ready to try at the same time or just afterwards. Wow, that was a long time ago and yes, was quickly won over by everything else and of course how professional, friendly, and ready to laugh at my corny jokes everyone was. :)

@Echoweaver, I think some people might have been turned off mods because of the frequent patches & modders not updating their mods quickly or at all. But now that the game is final, NRaas mods are indispensable! And still being improved!
@TadOlson, ditto!
@igazor, (points finger and snickers) you are funny!

I was wondering where you went Echoweaver :-) I also plan on getting Minecraft one of these days, not as a replacement for Sims 3 but just to try it out. I really want to try the Harry Potter servers.

Haha. I've been here. I lurk several times a week. I just haven't had much to contribute to threads, and I couldn't find the ones that degenerated into just being social :).
